The C-Surf
The C-Surf edition of the C-Crosser is the ultimate beach must-have. On the outside, the C-Crosser’s body is airbrushed with a surfing mural and is fitted with special surfboard roof-rails – complete with a Citroën-themed surfboard. A custom exhaust system and striking bespoke 20” alloy wheels finish the rugged look.
Inside, the car features a complete tribal themed custom leather trim and more airbrushed art work. The C-Surf’s impressive kit includes a dashboard compass, Genesis sound-system with boot-mounted subwoofer, two LCD headrest screens, 15″ roof mounted screen, not to mention a Nintendo Wii console and DVD player incorporated into the boot. A lighting system illuminates the cabin’s interior with 2.1million possible colour combinations that can change in rhythm with the car’s sound system.

Citroen 2Cv Concept

Citroen are following the recent trend of reinventing classic models with this modern interpretation on the original 2CV, which was first seen in 1948. With the enchantment of the original CV2, Citroen is planning on standing out from the crowd, by going up against prestige models, such as BMW’s Mini.
Trademark details from the original “tin snail” such as the slatted bonnet, covered rear wheels and the double chevron grill, remain unchanged, however the shape has been somewhat modernised by features such as the flush fitting windows and faired-in lights.
With the ongoing worry of our environment, Citroen have ensured that the new CV2 will be an extremely eco-friendly car. It is rumoured to be made from plastic body parts and will be powered by a hybrid diesel engine, boasting excellent fuel economy and low emissions.
As with the exterior, the cabin will draw on its famous ancestor with a minimal look. The main feature of the interior is thin-rimmed steering wheel, and the stereo controls are fixed in the central hub. Other quirky attributes include a retro speedometer and the dashboard mounted gearlever, another characteristic taken from the original model.
Nevertheless, while the original Citreon CV2 was designed to be cheap and cheerful, this modern version will come with a lot of high-tech kit, such as sat-nav, as standard.
Other added features would be the opportunity to personalise the vehicle, things such as contrasting body panel colours and the option of a full length sunroof. It may well be possible for the Citreon CV2 to sport panoramic glass, or even a removable canvas top.
This new model will be positioned above the C3 in the Citreon range, and under the skin it will be similar to both the C3 and the C4 hatch, sporting front wheel drive layout and a pleasant driving experience.
Although not confirmed, it is rumoured a concept version could be seen in 2009.
